Alex twirled a finger through her shiny mane. ”S’true,” she said.
Hope’s eyes flared with murderous light.
When the curtain swept aside, no one was in position. Abby was sitting on top of Hope, trying to force Hope to hit herself with her own fist, while Alex did her best to pull Abby off. Hope had her free hand smearing across Abby’s face, going for her hair, teeth snapping furiously at any loose bit of skin she could reach. Pinoe was throwing dollar bills on all of them.
